Eric Slavinsky was named to his current position in 2010. He has more than 20 years experience in information technology.
As CIO of LG&E and KU, Slavinsky serves in a leadership capacity as a key executive strategist in shaping the future of the organization and the industry, and as the principal information technology leader for the company.
Slavinsky came to LG&E and KU from Comcast Communications, where he served as vice president of information technology for the company's East division. He was responsible for all technology, including call center, network, server, storage, and infrastructure for the East division (Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, West Virginia, Ohio).
He also has held upper-level management positions with Delphi Corporation, Kelly Services Inc., and Dimension Data Holdings of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Slavinsky has a BBA in Management Information technology from Cleary University; Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Slavinsky serves on the Kentucky Center for the Arts Endowment board, as well as the Kentucky Center for the Arts Facilities Committee. His professional/trade memberships include the EPRI CIO group and Edison Electric Institute's CIO Group. He is a 2011 graduate of Focus Louisville and a volunteer for Metro United Way.
