The Fridge and Freezer Recycling program reaches 20,000 mark; more than three million pounds of metal and plastic have been recycled rather than placed in a landfill
The numbers don’t lie. Our Fridge and Freezer Recycling program has been a huge success. And we have you to thank.
In just two years, residential electric customers have offered up 20,000 refrigerators and freezers for recycling through the program.
That’s a big number, but what does it really mean?
It’s the equivalent of more than 15,000 megawatt-hours offset – enough energy to power more than 1,200 homes for an entire year.
All told, more than three million pounds of metal and plastic have been recycled rather than placed in a landfill. That’s a number to be proud of.
