Company named among top 10 utilities for economic development

Recognized for job creation and major investments

LG&E and KU has been named one of the 2016 “Top 10 Utilities” in the U.S. for economic development by Site Selection magazine. The LG&E and KU Economic Development team was recognized for its work in 2015, including new projects that resulted in more than 9,400 jobs and $2.7 billion in investments in the company’s service territories. Specifically, the article highlighted the new E.W. Brown solar facility, design and strategies of workforce programs, leadership in the KY Association of Economic Development and event marketing.
