Power Outage Reporting is fast and simple:

  1. Make sure your mobile phone number on file with us is up-to-date:
    • Using your smartphone or computer, log into your online account and under My Profile/Contact Information, enter your current mobile number.
    • If you haven’t registered your online account yet, go to My Account to do so.
       
  2. Once your mobile number is up-to-date, add LG&E-KU to your contacts. Use 4LGEKU (454358) for our number.
     
  3. Now you’re ready! To report a power outage, simply text OUTAGE to our contact number.
     
  4. For outage updates, just text STATUS

For near-real-time information about outages on your computer or smartphone, you can also view our Storm & Outage Map. You’ll find a summary of outages by zip code and county, and estimated restoration time.
