Although Tom Rieth grew up in Indiana, he "always viewed LG&E as a solid company" and quickly applied for an engineer's position when the opportunity became available in 2001. He is currently director of Gas Operations, Construction and Engineering, where his responsibility is for the leadership, direction and oversight of gas construction, operation, maintenance and engineering for the company's gas distribution system. Tom credits the team-oriented atmosphere with the company's successes.

What do you like about working here?

The people. We have a very skilled, resourceful work force. I also feel that this company has a strong combination of security and very competitive compensation. Nothing is for certain, but I do feel very fortunate to work for a stable company like this one.

Has the company assisted you with tuition or other support for your education and/or career development?

Yes, the company has supported my career development through my Professional Engineer's (PE) license and other technical and leadership training.
