Bill payment by mail

You can mail your check or money order and stub using the convenient return envelope we include in your monthly statement.

Please allow extra time when mailing payments to avoid mail delays and late payment charges.

Pay your utility bill at retail locations using authorized CheckFreePay agents. Pay by debit card (Walmart only) or cash. Additional fees apply.

Business office walk-in locations

After careful evaluation – and due to a decline in walk-in transactions, increased customer use of self-service channels, and best practice among similar utilities – we’ve decided to close all of our business offices across our service territories.

Closures are expected to occur in phases, with all to close no later than the end of 2024. Learn more about our office closures.

Customers are encouraged to use our convenient self-serve options, including our mobile app, online My Account or our automated phone service.

Timing of additional phases is still being determined. Prior to an office closure, we’ll make a note on this website via the links below, post signage and mail letters to customers who have recently visited the office.

Third party bill payment

For customers using third-party services, such as a bank to manage payment of several monthly bills at a time, it’s important to note that LG&E and KU cannot control when your payment is received. Be sure to allow ample time for payment processing if using a third-party source other than our authorized payment provider, Paymentus, or sending your payment by mail.
