Who is Project Warm?

October 7, 2010
Since October is National Energy Awareness Month, we'd like to introduce you to a local non-profit organization that's been performing weatherization work for low-income elderly and disabled in our community since 1982.

Project Warm provides energy conservation services and education to hundreds of Louisville-area clients every year.

This short video provides a behind-the-scenes look at the three critical services the organization provides, and shows the people and businesses behind the work:

LG&E has been a proud partner of Project Warm since its inception. In fact, each November hundreds of our employees and their families volunteer their time to make area homes more energy efficient as part of the organization's annual Winter Blitz initiative.

We're also the title sponsor of the organization's inaugural Green Spark Awards, which today will honor area businesses and individuals who have embraced energy efficient practices.

If you'd like to volunteer your time to help Project Warm, call 502-636-WARM (9276) or visit their website.

Until next time, keep using energy safely and wisely.
