The electric drive (no, it’s not a dance) is catching on

September 2, 2020

Sales of electric vehicles (EVs) continue to climb with more and more people opting to replace their gas-powered automobiles with electric ones. September 26–October 4 is national Drive Electric Week, an effort to bring more attention to EVs and their benefits. Go to driveelectricweek.org to learn more.

If you’re considering an EV for your next car, there are a number of benefits that might help sway your final decision.

  • Lower cost of use – On average, it costs less than half as much to drive the same number of miles in an EV than in a gas-combustion vehicle. The reason?  Simple: electricity costs much less than gasoline.
  • Cleaner air – Since EVs have nearly zero emissions, pollution is practically nil.
  • Minimal maintenance – There’s no oil and fewer moving parts. That generally means less maintenance, saving you money over the long haul.

EVs are more affordable than ever, average 200 miles on a single charge and can be charged using a standard outlet. Visit lge-ku.com/ev for more information, including our online EV marketplace where you can shop and compare EVs by fuel efficiency, cost, brand, etc.
