Investing to ensure a safe, reliable electric transmission system

We never stop working to improve the safety and reliability of the energy we provide you. That’s why we are constantly investing in our system. Here are some of the investments we have made in our electric transmission system.

• Upgrading transmission lines, which are the high-powered lines that carry electricity from our power plants to the neighborhoods we serve. 
• Replacing aging wooden poles with new steel ones. 
• Trimming and/or removing trees, plants and other vegetation that have grown too close to our high-voltage transmission lines and structures. 

We have a number of transmission projects planned for this year. By investing in our transmission system, we can ensure continued safe, reliable service today and well into the future.
