LG&E and KU’s Opportunity Kentucky grant helps bring new business to Elizabethtown

Canada-based Kruger Packaging plans to invest $114.2 million with an operation in Elizabethtown, which includes 150 well-paying jobs. The company supports Kentucky’s AgriTech initiative with production of corrugated boxes for the food and beverage sector.

Kruger and the Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation utilized LG&E and KU’s Opportunity Kentucky Grant for product development improvements necessary to close the deal. Representatives from both organizations were recently presented with a ceremonial check for $50,000 from LG&E and KU for their site-readiness efforts. (All COVID protocols required by the facility were followed.)

Watch this video to learn more about how LG&E and KU assisted in bringing Kruger Packaging to the Bluegrass State.
