Working on your budget just got easier with our budget payment plan

Household budgeting is challenging work. And having bills that can fluctuate significantly month-to-month – such as your utility bill – adds to the challenge. Well, we’re here to help. When you sign up for our Budget Payment Plan, you’ll have a more consistent payment each month, avoiding swings due to weather or lifestyle changes that might consume more energy from one month to the next. Knowing the amount of your monthly energy bill is one way to help simplify your life.

• Your initial budget payment amount is based on an average of the previous 12 months of usage at current energy costs.
• Your actual energy usage is compared to the estimate every four months, and we’ll notify you on your bill if any adjustment to your monthly payment is necessary.
• If you used less energy than estimated at the end of the 12-month period, you’ll get a credit on future bills. If you used more than estimated, you’ll owe the difference on that bill.

October is typically one of the lower-energy-usage months, making it a good time to sign up for the Budget Payment Plan. Other good months to sign up are May, June and September.
