Things to know: Understanding your bill

For our residential customers, your monthly bill is more than just a bill. It provides loads of useful information that’s easy to understand, from detailed breakdowns of your energy usage – including a month-to-month comparison chart – to your average daily energy cost. Other helpful details include the date range of your next meter reading, plus average temps outside and the number of days in the current month’s billing cycle. It also explains each line item that might appear on your bill, including what “basic service charge” or “energy charge” means.
