LG&E, Project Warm partner to hold free energy management workshops

October 28, 2010

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In a continued effort to help customers use energy wisely this upcoming heating season, Louisville Gas and Electric Company (LG&E) and Project Warm are partnering once again to offer free energy management workshops to educate the public about weatherization and conservation.

Every workshop participant will receive a free weatherization kit containing plastic sheeting, tape, wall plates, rope caulk, tacks, and a brochure that includes weatherization and conservation tips to help control energy usage. More than 600 workshops have been held across the community since 1990.

"By teaching weatherization and conservation techniques, these workshops help families take more control over their energy usage," said John P. Malloy, E.ON U.S. Vice President of Energy Delivery - Retail Business. "Workshop participants leave with the knowledge and the supplies they need to take simple and effective energy-saving actions at home."
