2015 Safety Summit

More than 1,100 employees, business partners and special guests revisited “the best of safety” during the 2015 LG&E and KU safety summit on Jan. 30. The summit theme highlighted more than a decade of the “best” behaviors, tools, lessons and achievements that have helped to create LG&E and KU’s best-in-class safety culture and drive employees’ historic performance last year. The year-end recordable rate was 1.03 — the lowest on record at the company and among the industry's best.
