Bad guys are tricky, but we can help keep you from being scammed

July 28, 2021

Scammers are on the prowl 24/7, constantly dreaming up ways to trick you into giving them your hard-earned money. We’re committed to helping you fight this fraud and blunting the efforts of the bad guys. Here are some things to know so you’re less likely to be fooled by the crooks.

  • We never ask you for debit card or credit card information. If a caller claiming to be us asks for that info, hang up.
  • We never request payment with a prepaid debit/gift card or a payment app. In fact we never make live phone calls to demand payment. Again, if someone claiming to be us contacts you and makes that request, that’s a scam.
  • We never threaten to cut off service if you don’t make an immediate payment. If you receive any such threat, that’s the bad guys at work.

If you think you’ve been scammed, report it to the police. Also contact us to make us aware.
