This Little Light

Inspired by LG&E and KU’s popular television commercial, “This Little Light of Mine,” the company has created a compilation video of employees and retirees singing the song. The video has been posted to social media channels — and to The Grid and other employee channels — to help spread positivity and light to our community of employees, retirees and customers during these challenging times. 

If you missed the boat and would still like to participate in a possible future video, please follow the instructions below.  

1. Visit our “This Little Light of Mine” webpage at lge-ku.com/song.
2. Download the song and review the lyrics.
3. Practice singing the entire song. You may include an instrument, such as a guitar, if desired. 
4. Record your video using a personal or work-provided smart device (positioned horizontally). The device must have enough space on it to house a large video file.
5. Text your video to 502-905-8086. For technical assistance, please email Alexis.Messmer@lge-ku.com.

• If available, wear LG&E, KU or ODP company logo wear in your video. This can be a casual polo shirt, ball cap, T-shirt, uniform, etc.
• Record your performance in a horizontal (or landscape) fashion. No vertical videos, please!
• Record your video outside with natural light, or in a well-lit indoor space near a window.
• Make sure you record in a place free of background noise.
• After pressing record, wait a few seconds to begin.
• Before singing, state your name, title, and city/state in which you live.
• Feel free to get creative, add some personality and be yourself! Don’t forget to be safe, too.
