Peregrine falcons fledge from company nest boxes

The falcon nesting season ended with happy results. This year, eight peregrine falcons nested at three LG&E and KU generating stations: Mill Creek, Trimble County and Ghent.

The peregrine falcon program is just another innovative way we’re protecting natural resources through our longstanding partnership with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. Since 1990, 180 chicks have fledged (flown out of the nest for the first time) at LG&E and KU generating stations.

The live camera at Mill Creek will return for the 2024 season next spring.
