Here’s how to start, stop or move service

Do you need to start, stop or move service? Here’s what you’ll need to provide to make that happen.

Start or move service                                            

  • Primary and joint account holders’ (if any) Social Security number(s).
  • Location and contact information.
  • Access to meter location.
  • Federal Tax ID number (business customers only).

Stop service

  • Account number and the last four digits of the account holder’s Social Security number (the entire Social Security number or the Federal Tax ID number for business customers).
  • Location and contact information.
  • Access to meter location.

NOTE: If you are moving service, you will also need to provide your previous account number.
