EV drivers can now plug in and charge up at Paroquet Springs Conference Centre
(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) — Bullitt County, Kentucky is among the fastest growing areas in the commonwealth, located along Interstate 65 and the bustling Kentucky Bourbon Trail, as well as home to major manufacturing, logistics and agricultural industries. It’s also now home to fast EV chargers, located at the Paroquet Springs Conference Centre, making it even easier for drivers to power up and hit the road.
Whether someone’s running Saturday morning errands, in town for a distillery tour, attending an event at Paroquet Springs or taking in the many attractions offered in Bullitt County, EV drivers can stop in and have a full vehicle charge within about 15 to 90 minutes.
“We’re thrilled to further expand our network of publicly available charging stations for EV drivers who live in or travel through Kentucky,” said LG&E and KU Vice President of Customer Services Shannon Montgomery. “We’re continually exploring new charging station locations and program offerings to make it even easier for EV drivers to plug in and charge up.”
“I’m very excited we have the opportunity to offer this new amenity to the thousands of visitors to Paroquet Springs Conference Centre, drivers along Interstate 65 and the citizens of Bullitt County,” said Vicki Downing, Executive Director of Paroquet Springs Conference Centre.
The fast chargers are among more than 40 publicly available stations, privately hosted charging stations and fast chargers owned and operated by Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company.
For EV drivers who also are LG&E and KU customers, the utilities offer an Optimized EV Charging Program where residential customers and small businesses can partner with us and earn money for shifting the times of day they charge their vehicles from their home or business.
The utilities’ network of EV charging stations and Optimized EV Charging Program make it easier for current and prospective EV owners to power their commute and day-to-day driving habits.
