What is demand response?

Demand response refers to a program type where customers are asked to use less electricity during specific periods, or events, when usage is high or to maintain system reliability. Participating customers receive a monetary incentive for their demonstrated usage reduction during the event.

When are incentives available or paid out?

Incentives, except for those participating in Business Demand Response, are earned and automatically paid via the specified method when the balance reaches $100. If you’d like to have your incentive balance paid to you before it reaches $100, you can do so at the LG&E and KU Rebate Center.
