John Bevington

Vice President, Customer Service, LG&E and KU

John Bevington has served in his current position since July 2026 and has a wide range of customer service responsibilities, including key account management, metering, customer contact center operations, market research, billing, revenue collection, customer renewable energy offerings and energy efficiency operations.

Bevington joined LG&E and KU in 2018 as Director of Business and Economic Development. In that role, he directed all aspects of LG&E and KU’s business and economic development strategies and implementation, including the development and delivery of demand side management and energy efficiency programs, and customer offerings in emerging technologies. In 2024, Bevington’s role expanded to direct economic development and national accounts for PPL’s service territories in Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.

Before joining the company, Bevington was with the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development for nine years and held a number of roles with increasing responsibility and finished his tenure there as Commissioner of the Department for Business Development.

Bevington earned Bachelor of Science degrees in marketing and finance from Western Kentucky University.

He serves or has served on the board of the Frankfort YMCA, the YMCA of Central Kentucky, the Kentucky Association for Economic Development, United Way of the Bluegrass and the KET Louisville Regional Fund Board. He also is a graduate of Leadership Kentucky.
