Mary Beth Dennis joined PPL in May 2026 as an Economic Development Manager based in Louisville, Kentucky. She is responsible for supporting economic development initiatives, community partnerships, and business growth efforts across the company’s service territories.
Before joining the company, Dennis spent more than a decade working at the intersection of economic development, utilities, and community engagement across Kentucky. Most recently, she served as director of New Business for Shelby County Industrial Development Foundation and director of Communications and Member Services for Shelby Energy Cooperative, where she supported business attraction, job creation, and long-term community growth initiatives.
Dennis has extensive experience collaborating with local and elected leaders, site selectors, utility partners, and statewide economic development organizations. She also held leadership roles with Kentucky Electric Cooperatives, leading statewide outreach, grassroots initiatives and youth leadership development programs.
Dennis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Bellarmine University with a minor in Business Administration and has completed formal training in economic development, cooperative leadership and event management.
As a member of the Kentucky Association for Economic Development and the Southern Economic Development Council, she is passionate about building strong partnerships and supporting long-term growth opportunities. When she’s not working, Mary Beth loves to travel with her husband and children. She also coaches volleyball and can be found cheering on her children during all their sports activities.
