You and solar share make a perfect pair

October 6, 2020

Supporting local solar energy is easy with our Solar Share program. By subscribing to Solar Share, customers can help generate clean energy without the steep cost of installation and ongoing maintenance of a private system. Subscriptions are currently being accepted for the third array, which is more than 85% subscribed. Construction of the 1,400-panel section will begin once it is 100% subscribed. The first two completed sections are generating one megawatt of local solar energy.

To participate in the program, select your preferred number of shares at a monthly cost of $5.55 per 250-watt share of solar – less than 20 cents a day. Or choose to pay a one-time fee of $799, which buys 25 years of participation in the program. As part of your participation, you’ll receive an advanced meter and a credit on your monthly bill based on your subscription level and the amount of energy produced by the facility.

The Solar Share facility is located in Shelby County, just off I-64. Visit lge-ku.com/solar-share to learn more and to sign up for the program. While there, be sure to check out the solar energy dashboard to see the amount of solar energy being generated in real time.
