Local solar thrives: Another Solar Share section is fully subscribed

May 31, 2022

Our Solar Share program continues to grow in popularity thanks to the support of our customers. Section five is fully subscribed, and we are now taking subscriptions for section six. Each section includes more than 1,000 solar panels, producing up to 500 kilowatts of energy. Construction begins on a section when it is 100% subscribed. In all, there will be eight sections, ultimately providing up to four megawatts of energy.

Signing up for our Solar Share program lets you receive the benefits of solar energy while avoiding the costs of installing and maintaining a private solar system. When energy is produced by the facility, participants earn credits on their monthly bills based on their subscription levels. Each 250-watt share is $5.55 per month (less than 20 cents a day). There is also an option to purchase 25 years of participation for a one-time charge of $799, and you can even gift credits to a loved one or nonprofit organization. Interested in section six? Visit lge-ku.com/solar-share to subscribe today. And go to lge-ku.com/solar-share/dashboard to see the power being generated by the facility.
