Customers may pick up two free seedlings beginning at 9 a.m. Giveaways will take place until the seedling supply lasts, usually before noon. These seedlings are small and thin; only a couple feet long, and easy to plant.
The giveaway program is one way our company supports the Call Before You Dig (811) initiative and encourages planting native trees in appropriate locations through The Right Tree in The Right Place program.
Our tree seedling giveaway program started in the early 1990s. In total, nearly 800,000 free seedlings have been given to customers across the LG&E and KU service territory.
