Keep it real: Be sure we are who we say we are

We work hard to keep your electric service running smoothly night and day. But doing so sometimes means our employees or contractors will need to visit your home to carry out a necessary service.

When someone from our company visits your home, either with an appointment or without, it’s important to first ask for an identification card. Authentic ID cards will feature the employee’s photo and name, plus a company logo. Also be sure to confirm the vehicle they arrived in features our logo.

If you’re still not sure, note the person’s name and politely ask them to wait outside. Then call us (LG&E and KU at 502-589-1444 or 800-331-7370 and ODP at 800-981-0600), and we’ll help confirm the person is in fact a representative from our company.

Finally, keep in mind that our employees visiting your home will never ask for payment or personal information, including credit or debit card numbers.
