US 42 Projects

These projects are part of continuous investments in the LG&E and KU electric system that, since 2011, have reduced the frequency of power outages by nearly 40% and duration of power outages by more than 30%, excluding major events.

As part of LG&E’s long-term investments, company crews and contractors will be working on several projects along US 42/Highway 393 in Oldham County throughout most of 2026. This work will reinforce electric systems, support the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s expansion project for Highway 393, and ensure continued safe, reliable service for customers for decades to come.
