Monthly payment amounts made simple: Now we’re talking

Isn’t it nice when you know how much a certain bill is going to be every month? It helps with your budget planning, and you’re not caught off guard by a higher-than-expected payment. Well, you can have that same benefit and peace of mind with your utility bill by signing up for our Budget Payment Plan.

When you sign up, we calculate an estimate of your energy usage for the next 12 months based on current energy costs combined with your actual usage from the previous 12 months. We take the average of that estimate to determine your monthly payment.

Your actual usage is compared to the estimate every four months to reduce the chance of an outstanding balance. If an adjustment to the estimate is needed, we’ll notify you one month in advance.

After the 12-month period, you’ll receive a credit toward future bills if you used less energy than anticipated. If you used more energy than anticipated, you’ll owe the difference on that month’s bill.

You can sign up for the Budget Payment Plan at any time, but October is a good month because it is usually a low-energy-usage month. Other months that fall into the same category are May, June and September. Find out if you are eligible.
