If you are struggling with a bill, here are some programs that can help.

  • LIHEAP is a federally funded program to assist low-income households by offering seasonal financial assistance to prevent disconnection of utility service. Applicants must have a household income at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines. Visit lge-ku.com/assistance to find out where to apply based on your location, whether in Kentucky or Virginia.
  • If you need more time to pay your bill, look into setting up a payment arrangement with us. Check to see if you are eligible for this program through our free mobile app, by phone (LG&E: 502-589-1444, KU/ODP: 800-981-0600; fast path: 1-2-2-1) or through your online My Account (my.lge-ku.com).
  • If you would like a predictable bill every month, sign up for our Budget Payment Plan. When you sign up, we’ll provide you with a customized initial budget payment amount that is based on an average of the previous 12 months of bills at your current address. At the end of your first 12 months, you’ll receive a credit toward future bills if you used less energy than anticipated.
