Stay in the know: We’ll let you know when the power goes out

Our company has launched new outage alerts to keep you informed during power outages. Customers will now receive text alerts or automated phone calls when an outage is detected as well as updates advising when power is estimated to be back on and again when power is restored. You can still report power outages or request status updates by texting OUTAGE or STATUS to 4LGEKU.

To ensure you receive alerts, verify your mobile number for texts or, if you prefer automated phone calls, provide your phone number in our mobile app or by logging into My Account at my.lge-ku.com. While you are at it, add our information to your contacts – our customer service phone number (800-981-0600 for KU/ODP customers; 800-331-7370 for LG&E customers) or 4LGEKU (454358) for texts – to easily see we are sending you important information.

It’s important to note this texting system should not be used to report downed power lines; those should be reported by contacting us via the customer service phone numbers above.
